I can finally say this lovely quilt is finished!
This past weekend I told myself that if I want to use this quilt, I need to finish it. So I pulled out a cream dot jelly roll by Riley Blake and began preparing my binding.
I was so excited that I needed to take some photos! My husband wasn’t home, so I had to improvise. I did have a little help from the wind though 😉
So happy with how this quilt turned out! It may have taken me a few years, but I believe it was meant to have waited on Molly 😉
All fabric used in this quilt, not counting the binding, was batik fabrics. I did prewash the backing… twice. Only because while I was ironing the backing, I spilled some water on it when I was filling my iron. The backing bled brown all over my ironing board cover Knowing that, I was a bit anxious about bleed when it was time to wash this quilt, so I added 3 color catchers (which were pretty brown after wash) to help ease my mind.
Thanks to my husband being available to help this round of photos, I think these picked up the quilting and the beautiful colors of the fabrics perfectly!
I have officially marked this UFO off my list! Wow does that feel good!!!
