My “Mom & Me” quilt is finally finished!
This is the first quilt I blogged about back in umm 2016? It has taken some time and was put away for a few years because of some personal struggles in the family. BUT it is done and I am so happy with how it turned out!!
1″ scraps sewn together make up the tiny border.
The pattern is the Double Slice Layer Cake Quilt by MSQC. It looks more complex than it was to cut and sew back together 😉
I’ve made many more quilts since this top was created and then sandwiched. I always add batting or at least a layer or fabric in the center to help avoid any show through of the backing. It’s kindof fun to see how much I’ve learned over the years.

Mom is working on her quilting and I’ll share pics of hers when she is finished. She used a different fabric line and it is beautiful!!
