This is by far the largest quilt I’ve ever made–or attempted for that matter–and am proud to say it is finished!
I was asked by a very sweet lady I work with if I would be willing to make her a king size T-shirt quilt of all her husbands T-shirts he has saved throughout the years. Of course I said yes. So she brought the shirts to me… It started off with 2 bags of T-shirts, then a third, then a few at a time making their way to me. As they kept coming I was thinking “Oh my!” this is a lot of shirts! LOL
…Fast forward…
After a lot of being creative on space to lay out the prepared shirts and then sandwiching, I was ready to quilt! Yay! I chose a meandering design and meandered all over except for the actual shirt designs.
And here is the final lovely king size T-shirt quilt…
though all the photos I took made the black look sun bleached.

photograph this large quilt, but I think
the nature peeking in the corner is
a nice photo element.
She was so happy with how the quilt turned out! And her husband was so surprised! They spent the evening telling stories of each shirt, laughing, and enjoying the memories. Now that is the best part of making quilts, the love and memories the recipients have and share 🙂

My gosh!! What a Special Heart Memory you created!! Know they LOVE it..and you too, for all the care you put into it too. It is Awesome… & Beautiful!!
