For Love of the Quilt

I started a quilt for a dear friend of mine nearly 2 years ago and finally got it finished!

When I gave it to her, she hardly had any words–and this is the girl that always has just the right thing to say, rather is be the best response or the perfect quote. I enjoyed her reaction, though. The best part of making quilts is the giving to the recipient and watching their joy and admiration of their gift.

After I completed the quilt, I had to wait for a dry and sunny day to get photographs of it. When giving a quilt, I often forget about this one important task, so I am trying to get better at making sure I have photographs to capture the finished quilt before it goes to its new home.

Wow! Doesn’t it look lovely there?! She said the quilt brightened up this corner and creates a warm and cozy focal point to the room.

What a great feeling to know how loved and appreciated the quilt is 🙂
