I’ve had this stack of sweatshirt material for some time now. I keep moving it around… Pulling it out and thinking about it… Just can’t figure out what to do with it.
I thought about using it for quilt backs, but it is a bit stretchy and I’m afraid that the quilting would go very well if I did use it. Same thoughts for quilt blocks…
Recently, while looking for a piece of fabric – in my well organized sewing room, LOL jk. It is really organized chaos – I ran across that stack of fabric again. This time I was bound and determined to do something with it.

with a square cutout in each.
I decided I could use this to make me a pillow or cushion for my sewing chair. I used the purple – because purple is the best color ever – and made a pillow form like cover. I stuffed it with clump proof stuffing, stitched it shut, and VoilĂ¡!
I figured I should keep going to see what else struck me to make.
So I thought a heart pillow would be easy. My mental plan was to start working on something simple and see what complicated project I could come up with. You know what I mean.
I made one heart by sewing and turning. I made another by sewing and then pinking. Both were stuffed and stitched together. The one I pinked, I left the back showing because it was more of a heather pink and looked pretty neat.

I did use the purple to cut a front and back of a bear pattern I have. I want to stitch a face on it before sewing and stuffing. I’ll let you know how that turns out.
What would you do with this fabric? I am open to suggestions and would love to hear some ideas.
