Quilts

Tractor Factor Finished!

I’ve had this panel for awhile now and finally decided it was time to become a quilt.

I sandwiched it using a black Jersey knit backing. It’s like a really soft sweatshirt type of fabric. I was a bit nervous about how it would do being quilted, but the sample piece I tested did just fine.

Using my Babylock, I free motion quilted around the tractors. Almost like tracing them. I wanted them to be the focus and pop off the fabric.

I even traced around the lettering. That seemed to have been harder though. Not sure why. I then finished it off by switching to my walking foot and quilting on both side of the thin yellow border and binding of course.

I love how the back looks! I think the quilt turned out pretty great! It also feels good to have started a new project AND already have it finished too 😉
