Owl Night Out

I’ve been so busy the last month that I haven’t taken the time to post here. That being said, I wanted to share Owl (our) night out last month in September.

Us girls needed a break from the every day tasks and stress, so we signed up for a paint night at Painted Grape in Burlington. This was our first time taking a class there, but found it to be a lot of fun and the instructor was very patient with us lol (thank goodnes!).

We started of with a blank canvas… YIKES! We were given pencils and walked through drawing lines to represent the owl’s eye, nose, and face.

I will admit, we did draw, erase, draw, erase, then just went with it 😀 The further we got, the more different each person’s owl was. It was very interesting how each person there, including us, interpreted the brush strokes and shapes differently.

We joked how my owl looked like a baby and Mary’s looked like an adult. Either way, we were happy with our feathery friends.

It was a nice night out and I forgot to mention we found a really neat store while waiting for the class to open. It is called Tuesday Mornings. Apparently, it has been there for some time, but it was new to us and we have gone back a couple times since that night ;P
